What the day revealed
Some weddings simply unfold.
Others begin to take shape long before they even exist.
Agathe and Lucas’ day belonged to the latter.
There was an intention from the very beginning — a desire to create something more personal, less expected.
Certain moments were imagined ahead of time, then allowed to unfold naturally once the day began.
Moving between spontaneity and intention, the day carried a distinctive energy.
As if it was already following a thread… without ever making it explicit.
The venue
Château Puech-Haut
Hérault, near Montpellier
The wedding took place at Château Puech-Haut, in the Hérault region, near Montpellier.
A venue with a distinct character, combining clean lines, Mediterranean scenery and a warm atmosphere, providing the perfect backdrop for days that are both elegant and full of life.
My approach
This film began to take shape even before the wedding day itself.
Not to control what would happen, but to give it direction.
To imagine certain sequences, to think about transitions, to create moments of pause within the narrative.
And then, once everything unfolded, to let those intentions blend with reality.
My role was to bring these two dimensions together
what had been imagined, and what naturally happened.
n the edit, this approach became central.
A more fluid structure, a rhythm that moves differently, and a narrative shaped in part through voice, connecting the images into something cohesive.
A film conceived as a construction —
yet meant, above all, to be felt.
We rediscovered moments we hadn’t even noticed on the day itself.
