Valérie & Alan
Chateau Capitoul, Narbonne
A realisation that took just a few days to form… but was felt immediately.

Sometimes, things come together very quickly…
and yet it all rings true.
What the day revealed
Some weddings take time to plan.
Others come together in the moment.
Valérie and Alan’s wedding was the latter.
Five days to dream, organise and build connections.
And yet, from the very first exchanges, it felt right.
A simple way of being together, an immediate connection with their loved ones who had travelled from Canada and France.
A day that flowed naturally… where nothing felt forced.
The venue
Château Capitoul
Narbonne, Aude
Perched on a hill overlooking a Mediterranean lagoon, Château Capitoul offers a spectacular setting amidst vineyards, scrubland and the sea on the horizon.
An exceptional estate spanning several dozen hectares, where the elegance of the setting blends with a deeply natural atmosphere.
The perfect setting for a wedding that is both elegant and welcoming, where every moment blends seamlessly into the surroundings.

My approach
This film came together in a very short space of time..
Without lengthy preparation, without any established framework.
But sometimes, that spontaneity becomes a strength.
My job was to build on what was already there.
Their naturalness, their ability to keep things simple, their immediate connection with their loved ones.
And to turn that obviousness into a story.
A film that doesn’t try to do more…
but captures what already works.
We never thought everything could be so seamless… and yet it’s all there
