He, on the other hand, is more reserved, with a subtle sense of humour, almost deadpan.
Two different rhythms, which are not at odds with one another… but complement each other.
The venue
Domaine Fon de Rey
Hérault, near Montpellier
Located in Pomérols, between Montpellier and Béziers, Domaine Fon de Rey is a historic vineyard set amidst Mediterranean landscapes, combining historic charm with unspoilt nature.
A setting that lends itself to intimate weddings, where moments are allowed to unfold at their own pace, and where conversation flows naturally.
Here, the day unfolded in this intimate setting, with an atmosphere that was at once simple, elegant and deeply sincere.
My approach
This film was built around what connects them.
Their story, their interactions, and their shared passion for history, which naturally found its way into the way their wedding was told.
During the church ceremony, this aspect gave the narrative a distinctive structure, almost like a narrative thread running through the whole day.
My task was to draw on these elements to create a film that doesn’t simply follow the events…
But which connects who they are with what they are experiencing.
We found ourselves just as we are… with all the subtleties of our relationship.
